From a young age, Noud has dedicated himself exclusively to track & field. His commitment has already resulted in several national achievements, including becoming Dutch U14 Champion in the combined events, Dutch U15 Indoor Champion in the high jump, silver medalist at the Dutch U15 Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles, and bronze medalist at the Dutch U15 Indoor Championships in the 1,500 meters. He also won the 2025–2026 Zuid-Holland Midden Cross Country Series, demonstrating both his versatility and endurance.
Noud trains four times per week on the track, and does some additional individual training sessions at home. His greatest athletic strengths are his endurance, explosiveness out of the starting blocks, jumping ability, and flexibility. One of his biggest advantages during combined events is his ability to stay physically strong in the later events, often allowing him to make up ground on competitors who begin to fatigue. He continues to work on improving his upper body strength, balance, and ankle stability to become an even more complete athlete.
His goals for the coming years are to improve his personal bests, clear four meters in the pole vault, and continue developing into one of the top multi athletes in the Netherlands.
As a person, Noud is energetic, positive, and supportive, bringing enthusiasm to every training session and competition. He enjoys helping his teammates improve and naturally contributes to a positive team environment. His attitude and work ethic make him someone coaches and teammates can rely on.
Noud is determined to get the most out of every training session, is eager to learn and fully committed to his development. He enjoys learning from his coaches, carefully applies their feedback, and regularly uses slow-motion video analysis to improve his technique. He prefers training alongside older athletes because he believes they challenge him to reach a higher level. Although he can initially be disappointed after a poor performance, he quickly regains his focus and fully commits to the next event, demonstrating resilience and a strong competitive mindset. His coachability, determination, and genuine passion for the combined events make him a valuable addition to any college track & field program.
Noud has not yet decided what he wants to study, although he has a particular interest in history. He sees studying in the United States as the ideal opportunity to combine academics with high-level track & field while continuing to develop as both an athlete and a person. His long-term ambition is to compete in world championships and the Olympics. Beyond sports, he also dreams of becoming an officer in the Dutch Marine Corps, a career that reflects his discipline, perseverance, and commitment to continuous improvement.
